Family is the Only Thing That Matters

By April 23, 2020, our entire country was in lockdown. I was attending weekly OBGYN check-ups solo due to COVID restrictions in place. I drove myself to my 38-week appointment – despite experiencing severe cramping, back pain, and overall discomfort. My husband was working from home at our kitchen table when he received my call that our baby was soon making his debut. Turns out I was in active labor and our second child, Hudson, was subsequently born an hour later just after 1 pm on April 23rd.

This was completely uncharted territory for all the world and particularly nerve-racking for expecting mothers – entirely different from our first born’s birth, where my parents and close friends routinely visited.

The new and uneasy world of isolation and quasi-solitude served as the impetus for us to look at most of life through a completely different lens. We were almost forced to enjoy the quiet and smallness of our brand-new baby – soaking in all his goodness.

The Opportunity to See Our Loved Ones Face to Face is a Gift

After going so long without seeing family and friends, the first opportunity to see family and friends once again felt surreal – like a gift.

One afternoon, we were making our trip to Gainesville to see my parents and help my sister with her wedding planning. About 1.5 hours into our trip, it started pouring and we were too far into our trip to turn around. It was difficult to see ahead and the vehicles on the interstate start to slow down.

My husband and I truly believe in being safe drivers, especially with our two small children in the car.  One of the most important features of any car are the windshield wipers. Good windshield wipers can make the difference between visibility in bad weather and not seeing at all. Although the rain was coming down in bucket loads, we were able to arrive at my parent’s home at ease due to the safety and reliability of Bosch windshield wipers.

Embrace Technology, There’s No Going Back

Telemedicine has boomed. Zoom and Team meetings are here to stay. Working from home has become normalized – whether entirely remote or a hybrid. Ordering has become more streamlined – curbside pick-ups, concierge shopping services that deliver to your door – many, now ubiquitous, conveniences that have evolved from the Covid pandemic and associated lockdowns, precautions, and supply chain constraints.

I Can Work from Anywhere

It took the pandemic for me (and many others) to realize that I could truly work from anywhere. I do, of course, realize that for many people the transition to remote work was not an option whatsoever. And 2 years ago, while still working in healthcare, it wasn’t for me either. It’s a privilege to be able to work from home.

Bosch wipers do more than wipe windshields. They help people connect. They aid drivers in getting where they are needed most – even when the weather is at its worst. Connecting with loved ones you haven’t seen in ages, discovering new trails with your four-legged friend, arriving home for afterschool playtime with the kids Bosch high-performance windshield wipers handle the harshest conditions to help you reach life’s most important moments. Bosch never wants you to miss any moments and is offering a $15 rebate by mail or email with the purchase of two ENVISION wipers until March 7th at AutoZone so you can #SeeWhatMattersMost .
