How I’m Keeping My Heart Healthy with Publix Savings

Right now, you can get $2 Off Any 1 Bayer Aspirin 100–200-ct. or pay $10.69 for Bayer Aspirin 300-ct. Bayer Aspirin is truly the “wonder drug”. Learn about heart attack risk factors here. Bayer Aspirin helps prevent another heart attack or clot-related (ischemic) stroke when taken as directed by your doctor.

Do you know what to do the moment someone might be having a heart attack? First, call 9-1-1 then chew or crush & swallow Bayer® Aspirin as directed by a doctor.

I picked up Caulipower Chicken Tenders 14-oz your choice for $6.99. That’s a $4 savings. No cluckin’ way!!! Their juicy chicken tenders prove that one of your favorite foods CAN be better for you! The golden, crispy coating is made with rice flour and…CAULIFLOWER! They are minimally processed, baked, never fried, and use cage-free chicken. They are crunchy, low in fat, and my kids LOVE them!! Heck, I love them. 86% less fat than any chicken tender you will find in the freezer aisle, but they taste like the real fried deal. The entire bag is less than 550 calories.

A plant-focused diet can be very good for your heart. Adding vegetables wherever you can could help lower your cholesterol. Eating more vegetables can help you lose weight and reduce your risk of heart disease. So instead of feeding your kids (or yourself) those frozen dino nuggets tonight, opt for Caulipower Chicken Tenders. I have to say that I was surprised that my kids actually loved them because of the cauliflower! BUT….the cauliflower wasn’t too powerful at all; the tenders are crispy and delicious, and I am sneaking in vegetables. I consider that a mom win!

Lastly, $4.79 Fisher Chef’s Naturals Walnuts 10-oz your choice! Every home needs a bag or container of walnuts in its pantry. Rich and nutty flavor – With 4 grams of plant-based protein and 2 grams of fiber per serving, you can seriously add them to anything…cookies, yogurt, smoothies, you name it.

Eating walnuts as part of a healthy diet may decrease your risk of heart disease. Walnuts help maintain healthy cholesterol levels and decrease blood pressure, two of the major risk factors for heart disease (Source). Adding walnuts is an easy and delicious way to make meals more heart-healthy. Choose walnuts as a snack, just a small handful will satisfy you. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on salads, vegetables, in dips, or as part of a dish you’ve already created.

Walnuts are a heart-healthy food, certified through the American Heart Association’s Heart-Check program. Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women in the U.S? The good news is that many of the risk factors associated with heart disease can be controlled with dietary and lifestyle changes.

So why try incorporating more heart-healthy foods in your diet? All of these products are available for purchase during the Be Heart Healthy promotion at Publix through February 25.
