You can have your flowers and eat them too 🌷
Ingredients:
Cherry tomatoes
Bakery bread (I got a loaf with full garlic mix chunks baked in
Chives
Spinach or basil for the leaves
And a spread! I used whipped chive cream cheese but you can make your own blend with cream cheese and herbs
I got everything at Publix Greenwise.
Directions:
Start by using a toothpick or skewer to poke a hole in the tomato. It’s much easier to do this in the beginning before you cut your tomatoes.
This is where the chive will go in.
Spread the cream cheese on the bread
Get a sharp knife and cut the tomato almost in half but don’t slit it all the way.
Take a small spoon and scoop out the seeds
Then cut your slice your tomato again like a cross
Insert the chive stem into the hole of your tomato
Place on your bread and break off pieces of spinach or basil for the leaves.
This is a great spring app or something to serve for Easter brunch!
